 Onam Celebration “Aaravam 2K25” at Baselios Marthoma Mathews II Training College, Kottarakkara 

On August 27, 2025, Baselios Marthoma Mathews II Training College, Kottarakkara, came alive with colors, joy, and the true essence of Kerala’s grandest festival — Onam. The event, titled “Aaravam 2K25”, was organized by the Ektha College Union and commenced at 8:30 AM with great enthusiasm and festive spirit.


The college campus was beautifully adorned with traditional floral decorations and pookkalams that reflected the cultural richness of Kerala. The vibrant atmosphere, filled with laughter and music, perfectly captured the spirit of unity and togetherness that Onam symbolizes.


The celebration began with a warm welcome ceremony followed by the lighting of the lamp, symbolizing prosperity and happiness. Students and teachers came dressed in traditional Kerala attire, adding to the authenticity of the celebration. The highlight of the event was the majestic arrival of Mahabali, the beloved king of Kerala, whose presence brought smiles and cheer across the campus.


A variety of cultural programs were organized, including Thiruvathira, Onappattu, skits, games, and group performances. Each performance showcased the creativity and talent of the students, blending entertainment with the values of tradition and community spirit. The event also featured fun-filled competitions that encouraged participation and teamwork among students.


No Onam celebration is complete without the grand feast — the Onasadya. The delicious spread of traditional Kerala dishes brought everyone together, strengthening the sense of unity and belonging.

 Project Orientation for B.Ed 2024–26 Batch at Baselios Marthoma Mathews II Training College



Baselios Marthoma Mathews II Training College, Kottarakkara, continues its legacy of nurturing future educators through innovative and purposeful programs. On 23rd August 2025 (Saturday) at 10:00 AM, the college is organizing a Project Orientation for the B.Ed 2024–26 batch at the College General Hall.


This orientation aims to provide students with a clear understanding of project work, an essential component of teacher education. Projects are not just academic exercises; they serve as platforms where budding teachers can apply theoretical knowledge to practical contexts, engage in research, and develop critical and creative thinking skills.

 Fresher’s Day 2025: A Grand Welcome at Baselios Marthoma Mathews II Training College




The spirit of togetherness and celebration came alive on 22nd August 2025 at 10:00 AM when Baselios Marthoma Mathews II Training College, Kottarakkara, hosted its much-awaited Fresher’s Day 2025. Organized by the Ektha College Union (2024–2025), the event marked a memorable beginning for the new batch of students.


A Warm Start to a New Journey

The program began with a vibrant welcome, setting the perfect tone for the day. The members of the Ektha College Union greeted the freshers with open hearts, embodying the true meaning of “Ektha” – unity. Day 23

11 August 2025


Today was the nineteenth day of teaching practice at NGPM Venchempu. We reached the school by 9:15 am. The day began with a beautiful prayer song led by the students from 9:35 to 9:40 am. After the prayer, we moved to our respective classes. My class was IX B. I began the session by asking a few questions to revise the previous topic and then introduced the new concept related to parallel lines. The students participated actively, answering my questions with enthusiasm. This interaction made the session lively and encouraging.

In the next period, I had free time, which I utilized effectively to prepare teaching aids and lesson plans. After lunch, I had no assigned classes, so I spent the time reflecting on my morning class and identifying areas for improvement. Overall, it was a productive and satisfying day.


Day 24

12 August 2025


Today was the twentieth day of teaching practice at NGPM Venchempu. We reached the school by 9:15 am. The morning prayer song was held from 9:35 to 9:40 am. I proceeded to IX B and began the class by asking questions to check the students’ understanding of the previous lesson. I then continued with the topic parallel lines, giving examples and explaining the concepts clearly. The students listened attentively and responded eagerly.


I had free periods after the class, which I used to prepare my teaching materials and lesson notes for the upcoming sessions. After lunch, I reflected on the day’s class and thought of ways to make the next class more engaging and interactive.


Day 25


13 August 2025


Today was the twenty-first day of teaching practice at NGPM Venchempu. We reached the school at 9:15 am. After the prayer session, I went to IX B for my class. I started the session by asking some warm-up questions to revise the previous day’s lesson. I then introduced new examples related to parallel lines to strengthen their understanding. The students interacted well, which made the teaching process enjoyable.


During my free periods, I prepared lesson plans and teaching aids for upcoming classes. I also used the time to review my teaching methods and reflect on how to improve classroom interaction. Overall, it was a calm and constructive day.



Day 26


14 August 2025


Today was the twenty-second day of teaching practice at NGPM Venchempu. We reached the school at 9:15 am. After the prayer song from 9:35 to 9:40 am, we went to our respective classes. I began my class in IX B by revising the previously taught concepts and then moved on to more examples and problem-solving exercises on parallel lines. The students were enthusiastic and participated actively.


Since I had free periods after the class, I utilized the time effectively to prepare my teaching materials and lesson plans. I also reflected on my teaching strategies and identified ways to make my lessons more engaging. The day ended on a positive note with a sense of satisfaction.



15 August 2025


Since it was Independence Day, there were no regular classes. We reached the school by 8:30 am to participate in the Independence Day celebrations. The program began with the flag hoisting ceremony, followed by the national anthem and patriotic speeches.

The students presented various cultural programs, including patriotic songs, parades, It was a proud and memorable moment to be part of the celebration. Even though there were no classroom sessions, the day was meaningful and filled with national spirit.



Day 27

16 August 2025


Today was the twenty-sevnth day of teaching practice at NGPM Venchempu. It was a special class on Saturday. We reached the school by 9:15 am. The day began with a short prayer session led by the students from 9:35 to 9:40 am. After the prayer, we proceeded to our respective classes.

My class was IX B. I began by asking a few questions from the previous lesson to check their understanding. Then I moved on to the continuation of the topic of the chapter parallel lines. The students actively participated and showed good interest even though it was a weekend class. Their attentiveness and positive response made the teaching experience enjoyable.

During my free periods, I utilized the time to prepare lesson plans and teaching aids for the upcoming week. I also reflected on my teaching and identified areas for improvement. Overall, it was a productive and meaningful day, and taking classes on a Saturday gave me a new and valuable teaching experience.

Today was the eighteen th day of teaching practice at NGPM Venchempu. We reached the school by 9:15 am. The day began with a beautiful prayer song led by the school students from 9:35 to 9:40 am. Following this, we moved to our respective classes. My class was IX B. I asked a few questions on the topics from previous class. I then move on to the topic mid section of the chapter parallel lines. The students listened attentively and responded actively, which boosted my confidence and made the teaching experience smooth and enjoyable.

I had a free period next, which I used effectively to prepare my teaching materials and lesson plans for the following periods. After lunch, I had another free period, which I used to review my teaching and reflect on possible improvements. In the last period, I had another free period, and I used it effectively to prepare my teaching materials and lesson plans.


Day - 19

5 August 2025


On the nineteenth day of my teaching practice, we reached the school at 9:20 am. The day opened with a melodious prayer song presented by the students from 9:35 to 9:40 am, which set a calm and positive tone for the day.

Soon after, I went to my allotted class, IX B. To begin, I interacted with the learners by revisiting concepts from the previous lesson. I then introduced the new portion on the Mid-section of a Triangle from the chapter Parallel Lines. The students showed keen interest, answered promptly, and participated with enthusiasm. Their active involvement gave me confidence and helped the class progress smoothly.

During the next free period, I utilized the time to organize my lesson notes and prepare materials for upcoming sessions. After the lunch break, I had another free period, which I spent reflecting on my teaching performance and planning improvements. In the last period too, I was free, and I made the best use of it by preparing additional teaching resources and lesson outlines.

The day proved to be both fruitful and motivating, as I was able to balance classroom teaching with preparation and reflection.

The twentieth  day of my teaching practice started with our arrival at the school at 9:15 am. From 9:35 to 9:40 am, the students presented a soothing prayer song, creating a peaceful atmosphere to begin the day.

After the prayer, I moved to my assigned class, IX B. I initiated the session by revising the ideas discussed in the previous lesson. Then, I introduced the new topic, Mid-section of a Triangle, from the chapter Parallel Lines. The learners responded actively, answered questions confidently, and showed genuine interest in the activities. Their participation made the teaching experience lively and effective.

In the subsequent free period, I arranged my lesson plans and organized the materials required for upcoming classes. Post-lunch, I had another free session, which I used for self-evaluation and to think of ways to improve my teaching strategies. The final period of the day was also free, and I utilized the time to prepare extra teaching aids and draft outlines for future lessons.

The day turned out to be both productive and inspiring, as it allowed me to combine actual teaching with preparation and self-reflection.
