The Festive Atmosphere
From the early hours of the day, the campus was buzzing with energy as students, dressed in traditional attire, arrived to take part in the festivities. The women wore the elegant Kasavu sarees with their golden borders, while the men sported traditional Mundu, adding a touch of authenticity to the celebrations. The college courtyard was adorned with a beautiful Pookalam (floral rangoli) created by the students, a central element of Onam. The intricate design, made with vibrant flowers, symbolized the beauty and bounty of nature, perfectly reflecting the spirit of the harvest festival.
The Cultural Programmes
One of the most anticipated performances was the Thiruvathira, a traditional dance form performed by a group of students. The music, dance, and drama transported the audience to the very essence of Kerala’s cultural heritage.

The students participated in a variety of games such as Vadam Vali , Uriyadi which kept the competitive spirit alive. Faculty members also joined in the fun, making the event even more special and fostering a sense of unity across the campus.
The Grand Feast – Onasadya
No Onam celebration is complete without the traditional Onasadya, a grand meal served on banana leaves. The feast included a wide variety of dishes, from avial and thoran to pachadi and payasam. The students and faculty enjoyed the delicious spread together, sharing stories, laughter, and the joy of being part of a vibrant community.
