Day 5 of lokahi camp– Valedictory Function

On the final day of the Lokahi Camp (25/10/2025), the valedictory function began at 10:00 a.m. The program was hosted by Sheba Susan Philip and Nayana. The welcome address was delivered by Ms. Sreelakshmi, the camp teacher coordinator.

The function was presided over by Rev. Riju John, the Principal of the college, and was inaugurated by Sri. Mullakkara Ratnakaran, former Minister of Agriculture. Following the inauguration, the camp report was presented by Sri. Jeevan.

Awards were then distributed, honoring Arunima (Natural Science) and Albin K. Alexander (Mathematics) as the Best Campers. In addition, Ms. Jisa, Sri. Jeevan, Sri. Albin—who suggested the name “Lokahi”—and the leaders of various groups were also felicitated for their contributions.

The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Fr. Sabu.

 Day 4 of Lokahi Camp

Date: 24/10/2025

The fourth day of the Lokahi Camp was filled with excitement and joy as the students embarked on their much-awaited excursion. The day was marked by beauty, enthusiasm, and togetherness. As part of the trip, the teacher trainees visited several picturesque locations including Pine Forest, Thangalpara, Tea Lake, and Parunthumpara. Each destination offered the students a refreshing and delightful experience.

Throughout the journey, the students participated with great enthusiasm and laughter, making the day truly memorable. The organizing committee deserves appreciation for arranging the trip in an excellent manner. This tour, which beautifully blended education and recreation, became an unforgettable memory for everyone who participated.

A total of 107 students and 5 teachers took part in the trip. Heartfelt love and gratitude are extended to Fr. Sabu, who served as the coordinator of this tour.

 Day 3 — Lokahi Camp (23/10/2025)

The third day of the Lokahi Camp began at 9:00 a.m. with the morning assembly. Jesna and Vaishnavi served as the hosts of the assembly. The prayer was led by Muhsina, Anushree, Riya, and Jinshi. The thought for the day was presented by Amitha, and the news reading was done by Akhila and Jaimy.

Following this, the theme of the day was introduced by Mrs. Neethu, and the special highlights of the day were announced by Ms. Arunima Rachel.

At 10:00 a.m., the program titled “Manomukham” was held, featuring the special guest Mr. Shivaprakash, a renowned mentalist and mind reader. His session was both engaging and thought-provoking for everyone present.

At 12:00 noon, the “Dhamaka” Zumba dance performance was presented by HLS Studio Kollam – Harry & Team. The energetic and vibrant performance filled the camp with excitement and enthusiasm.

At 2:00 p.m., the team departed for Kuttikkanam, Idukki. By 6:00 p.m., they reached and visited Panchalimedu. Later, at 8:30 p.m., an exciting campfire was organized, adding joy and togetherness to the evening.

Accommodation was arranged at Providence Peerumedu — Kuttikkanam Ashram and Convent, where the participants stayed overnight amid the misty and serene atmosphere.

 Day 2 of lokahi community living camp– Theme: Harmony in Diversity

The second day (22/10/2025) of the Lokahi Community Living Camp began at 9:00 AM with the morning assembly. The assembly was compered by Anu G. Saji, while the prayer song was rendered by Megha, Vaishnavi, and Rajalakshmi. The thought for the day was presented by Varsha, and Sheba and Alfiya delivered the news presentation. The day’s theme, “Harmony in Diversity”, was beautifully introduced by Shamna.

At 10:00 AM, the session titled “Swaralaya” commenced. The session focused on the relevance and importance of musical intelligence in teacher education. Eminent personalities such as Dr. Manakkala Gopalakrishnan (Former Research Officer, SCERT, Kerala), Violinist Mavelikkara Vijayakrishnan, and Mridangam Vidwan Srirangam Krishnakumar enriched the gathering with their musical brilliance. Shaheena, Anagha, and Akshara extended their greetings, and Rose delivered the formal vote of thanks.

After the refreshment break, at 11:45 AM, a session titled “Agniratham” was conducted by Mr. Aneesh from the Kottarakkara Fire and Rescue Station, who led a class on “On the Path of Safety.” The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Jiji.

Following lunch, various group cultural performances were held. At 2:45 PM, Mr. Ayyappadas, a journalist from Malayala Manorama, conducted an interactive session on “Media Resonance (Madhyama Sphandanam).” The program was coordinated by Mrs. Neethu S. Raj from the Malayalam Department. The session proved to be highly informative, providing teacher trainees with valuable insights into the field of media. Sheba Susan Philip delivered the vote of thanks for the session.

Later, at 5:30 PM, the “Rangolsavam” event was presented by the Ragaprabhat, Alanthara, and Vennjaramoodu groups. The drama titled “ALPHII (12) MISSING” was staged, and Shalini expressed her gratitude at the end of the performance.

The day concluded with a spectacular musical performance by “Beats Audios” at 7:30 PM, adding a melodious end to the day’s vibrant proceedings.

Day 1: Kicking Off the LOKAHI Community Living Camp 2025

The Basilios Marthoma Mathews II Training College, Kottarakkara, is buzzing with energy today as we officially launched the LOKAHI Community Living Camp 2025! The atmosphere is vibrant, setting the perfect stage for the camp's inspiring theme: "Together in Harmony."

The Grand Inauguration

The day began at 10:00 am with the much-anticipated Camp Inauguration at the College General Hall. We were deeply honored to have renowned poet and literary writer, Kureepuzha Sreekumar, grace the event and deliver the inaugural address. His presence and words set a profound and thoughtful tone for the entire week, emphasizing the power of literature, community, and shared experience. It was a truly inspiring start to our journey together!

Exploring the Theme

Following the inauguration, the focus shifted to the core of the camp with the Theme Presentation at 11:00 am.

We were privileged to welcome Dr. Nowfal N, Assistant Professor at Sree Narayana Guru Open University, who led an insightful session. Dr. Nowfal's presentation delved into the philosophy behind the camp’s theme, exploring what it truly means to live "Together in Harmony" in today's complex world. The discussion was engaging and thought-provoking, prompting the participants to reflect on their roles in building a cohesive and supportive community.

The LOKAHI Community Living Camp 2025 is scheduled to run from October 21st to October 25th, and based on the incredible start we've had, we're confident that the next few days will be filled with learning, connection, and harmony.

 Community Living Camp 2025 – Logo Revealing Ceremony Organized by Baselios Marthoma Mathews II Training College, Kottarakkara

The Baselios Marthoma Mathews II Training College, Kottarakkara, marked a memorable beginning to its much-anticipated Community Living Camp 2025 with a special Logo Revealing Ceremony held on 17th October 2025 at 11:00 AM in the College General Hall.

The event was graced by the presence of Adv. K. Unnikrishnan Menon, the Chairman of Kottarakkara Municipality, who officially unveiled the camp logo. His participation added great significance to the occasion, inspiring the student-teachers to embrace the true spirit of community living — cooperation, empathy, and social responsibility.

The ceremony aimed to set the tone for the upcoming camp, which focuses on unity, harmony, and shared experiences. The logo, representing the theme of togetherness, reflects the essence of living and learning as a community — a vital component of teacher education.

The program began with a warm welcome, followed by insightful words from the chief guest, who emphasized the importance of community engagement in shaping responsible and compassionate educators. The event also highlighted the efforts of the organizing committee and the enthusiasm of the B.Ed. students, whose creative energy brought life to the entire program.

As the logo was revealed, the hall filled with applause and excitement, symbolizing a new beginning for the participants — a journey toward understanding diversity, collaboration, and service.

29 september 2025

Today was the 36th  day of my teaching practice at NGPM venchempu. I reached the School by a: 15 am. The day started with a lovely prayer song presented by the school students from 9:35 to 9:40. After that I mated to my respective Class lx B. Today I taught the topic multiplication using the innovative method. the students were excited and engaged actively. This boosted my confidence and made the teaching Session Smooth and enjoyable.

After that I had duty for taking students. of vanchippattu for practice outside on the fifth period After that I got free periods. Which I used to prepare my lesson plans and teaching aids for ne future lessons

finally at 3:40 pm when the final hell lang I signed out and left the school..

3 October 2025

Today was the 37nth day of my Teaching practice at NGAM venchempu. I reached the school by a: 15 am The day Stated with a lovely player song presented by the School Students from 9.35 to 9:40 After that I moved to my respective class, Ix. 0. After asking some questions from the previous Class I Continued. with the topic Division in the chapter irrational multiplication. Students paid close attention and engaged actively. students recalled the concepts

After that I don't have any other classer of substitutions. So I used the time to future lesson plans and teaching Prepare materials.

finally after the final bell rang at 3:40pm I signed out and left the school.

4 october 2025

Today was the 38th day of my Teaching practice at NGPm venchempu I reached the school by a loam. The day begen with a beautiful prayer song led by the students From 9:35 10 9:40 am.

Afee the prayer, I moved to my respective Class, lx B,  I asked some questions related to the previous class, Today I used the ICT retrod of teaching I showed all the Activities in the PPT, the students listened attentively and Participated actively which made the session lively and effective. After that I don't have any other classes, I got a duty to take students Out for practice

Finally at 3:40 pm, the final bell sang and we Signed out ad let the school.

6 october 2025

To day was the Banth day of my Teaching practice at NGPM venchempu.

I reached the school by a:lo am. the day began with a beautiful prayer, song led by the students from 9:35 to 9:40am. Today As part of the school based Activity in we organised a mine the B.Ed Curriculum Students selected for the mime were from IX.B, The topic for the mime was women empowerment. After that on the fourth period I had duty to take out students for practice. After lunch the headmaster assigned me to take the kho kho team for practice.

Today was the 40th  day of my teaching practice at NGPM venchempu.

9:15 am. The day I reached the school by began with a beautiful prayer song led by the students from 9:35 to 9.40 am. After the prayer, I moved to my respective Class IX.B, As the portion is completed Today Conducted the achievement test.students were actively answered the questions.

After that I had the duty to take the kho-kno team fine practice on the fourth period Afta that I had no substitutions of duties.

Finally at 3:40 pm, the final bell rang And I Signed out before leaving the school

18 October 2025

Today was the 41st day of my teaching practice at NGPm Venchembu. As I reached the school by 9:15 am the day began with a beautiful prayer Song led by the Students from 9:35 to 9:40am.

Scored After the prayer, I moved to my respective Class IX.B. I distributed the corrected answer sheets to the students, most of the students. fifty percentage marks, made he happy and boosted any confidence. After that I explained the answers to them. After that I have no Classes of duties As It is the final day of out teaching practice we get one lesson plans signed by Headmistress and also by our mentor teachers.

Awareness on Netiquette among High School Students

The Conscientization Programme on Netiquette aimed to create awareness among high school students about responsible and respectful online behavior.

INTRODUCTION

The Conscientization Programme on “Awareness on Netiquette among High School Students” was organized at NGPM HSS, Venchembu, with the objective of promoting responsible, ethical, and respectful online behavior among students. In the present digital era, the internet has become an integral part of students’ academic and social lives. Hence, it is essential to educate learners about proper online manners, cyber safety, and digital responsibility.

The programme aimed to sensitize students to the importance of respectful communication, privacy protection, and the responsible use of digital platforms. It served as an effective platform to guide students in understanding how their online actions can influence themselves and others.

The session commenced with a welcome address by Sister Sincy. This was followed by the presidential address by Father Sabu, who emphasized the need for discipline, responsibility, and ethical conduct in the digital world. The programme was formally inaugurated by Mrs. Swapna, Social Science Teacher, who highlighted the relevance of netiquette in modern education. An awareness class on netiquette was conducted, focusing on safe and respectful online practices. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Abhirami and Abhijith, expressing gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the event.

NEED AND SIGNIFICANCE

In today’s digital age, students spend a considerable amount of time online for learning, communication, and entertainment. While digital technology offers immense educational benefits, it also poses challenges such as cyberbullying, misuse of social media, invasion of privacy, and inappropriate online behavior. Therefore, there is a strong need to educate students about netiquette, which refers to the code of conduct governing responsible online behavior.

The Conscientization Programme was significant in guiding students towards becoming responsible digital citizens. Awareness of netiquette helps learners maintain respectful communication, build positive digital footprints, and protect themselves from online risks. This programme not only supported academic growth but also contributed to the overall moral and social development of students, preparing them to function ethically in a digital society.

OBJECTIVES

The major objectives of the programme were:

1. To create awareness among students about proper online behavior and digital manners.

2. To encourage responsible and respectful communication on digital platforms.

3. To educate students on the ethical use of the internet and social media.

4. To develop awareness regarding cyber safety, privacy protection, and digital responsibility.

5. To promote positive digital citizenship among high school students.

6. To help students understand the consequences of inappropriate online behavior.

7. To foster kindness, respect, and empathy in online interactions.

REFLECTION

The Conscientization Programme on Awareness on Netiquette among High School Students proved to be an enlightening and meaningful experience for both students and teachers. The programme provided an opportunity to discuss the importance of maintaining courtesy, responsibility, and empathy in online environments. Students became aware of how their digital actions can impact others and learned the value of respectful communication.

The session included engaging discussions and presentations that captured students’ interest. The resource persons explained the concept of netiquette using practical and relatable examples. Students actively participated by sharing their personal experiences related to online communication, making the session interactive and reflective. Common mistakes made on social media were discussed, along with positive and safe alternatives for digital interaction.

The programme also emphasized digital responsibility and cyber safety. Students learned about protecting personal information, avoiding harmful content, and understanding the consequences of online misconduct. This helped them realize that while the internet is a powerful tool, it requires moral awareness and accountability.

Overall, the programme successfully achieved its objectives. It encouraged students to reflect on their online behavior and inspired them to practice netiquette in their daily digital interactions. By the end of the programme, students pledged to uphold the principles of netiquette and contribute to a respectful and safe online community.

ROLES OF MEMBERS

Sister Sincy: Explained the concept of netiquette and highlighted the importance of discipline and good manners in online communication.

Father Sabu: Emphasized digital responsibility and guided students on the safe and respectful use of technology.

Abhirami: Presented key points on ethical online behavior and illustrated proper netiquette practices with examples.

Abhijith: Led interactive discussions and encouraged students to reflect on their online habits and adopt positive digital behavior.

CONCLUSION

The Conscientization Programme on Awareness on Netiquette among High School Students concluded successfully with active participation from the learners. The programme effectively enlightened students about the importance of online etiquette in the digital age. It helped them understand that politeness, respect, and responsibility are as essential online as they are in real-life interactions.

Through various discussions and activities, students gained a deeper understanding of cyber safety, privacy protection, and empathetic communication. The programme reinforced the idea that good netiquette contributes to a positive, safe, and inclusive digital environment.

In conclusion, the programme was a meaningful initiative that instilled a sense of digital responsibility among students. The awareness created through this session will guide them in their academic, social, and personal use of technology, shaping them into responsible and ethical digital citizens.

B. Today I have my second optional Observation by sreelekshmi teacher. I began the Class by telling a story related to the topic which Contain problems related to the topic. The students listened attentively and responded actively, which boosted my confidence and made the teaching experience smooth and enjoyable.

The remaining periods after that were free I used the time well for the preperation of my Lesson plans and teaching aids for the future classes.

After the prayer, I moved to my respective Class lX.B, where I revised previous topic and. Continued teaching the Chapter, I moved on to the next topic multiplication. The students. listened attentively. and participated actively Which made the session lively and effective. After lunch, I had a substitution with IX.C.I didn't take class there.

After that I had Wo Classes further, So I used the time to write my lessen plans and preparing teaching aids.

Today was the 33th day of my teaching practice at NGPM venchempu. I reached the school by 9:15am. The day began with a beautiful prayer song led by the school students from 9:35 to 9:40. my fest Class was with IX.B. The students were attentive and actively participated which encouraged me and made the class run smoothly. After that, I had a free periods I used the time to prepare teaching materials and plan upcoming lessons. I also took the opportunity to get ready for future lessons.

At 3:40 pm, the last bell rang and I signed out before leaving the school. overall, It was a productive day. The students Interest and involvement made the teaching experience enjoyable, and I felt more confident and organized for my classes.

Today was the 34th day of my teaching practice at NaPm Venchembu. I reached school by 9:15 am. The day started with a lovely prayer song presented by the school Students from 9:35 to 9:40. Today I couldn't fake any class because most of the students. In the class were out for practice. So I Revised the previously learned topics, After that I had a duty to take the vanchippattu  team for practice to the school auditorium.

The Remaining periods where free and I used time for preparing lesson plans and teaching aids required for the future classes.

Today was the 35th day of my Teaching practice at NG Pm venchempu. I Reached school by 9:20 am. ne day Started with a lovely prayer song presented by the school Shaders from 9.35 to 9:40. Today I Couldn't take my Class because most students were out for practice. So I Revised the previously learned topics, After that I had no Classes, Rest of the free periods were used to prepare lesson plans and teaching alds for the Upcoming Classes.

The weekend reflection session was held at the college from 10:15 pmb 1:15pm Serving as a valuable platform fue trainees to Share and evaluate their progress during the school internship. A majon highlight of the internship period was kalotsavam, the Cultural fest Conducted in all most all schools Through this Internship journey, trainees have gained practical exposure to various aspects of teaching, Such as planning effective lessons, managing Classrooms and assessing students learning Outcomes Overall, the session encouraged professione! growth and inspired us to become more Confident and reflective teachers.

Today was the 30th day of my teaching practice at Napm, venchempu. I reached the school by 9:15 am. The day began with a mind blowing prayer song by the school Students from 9:35 to 9:40 am. After that I moved on to my first period a Ix. By since the Students went out for the practice I Couldn't take Class today. So I revised some topics by asking questions and providing activities.

After that on the fifth period I got a duty for taking out the Students of IxC for drill. The next periods were free and I used the time well for preparing my lesson plans and teaching aids.

Premarital Counseling Session at Baselios Marthoma Mathews II Training College

The Baselios Marthoma Mathews II Training College, Kottarakkara, in collaboration with the Department of Social Justice, Government of Kerala, organized a Premarital Counseling session on 16 October 2025. The program was conducted at the college seminar hall from 10:00 AM onwards, bringing together students, faculty, and guests to explore the significance of emotional, social, and health preparedness for marriage.

Dignitaries and Guests

The session was inaugurated by H.G. Thomas Mar Luca, College Administrator. The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Indira Ravindran, B.Ed. Department Head and Faculty in charge of organizing the event. Their inspiring words emphasized the importance of guidance and awareness among young adults as they prepare for their future lives and responsibilities.

Theme of the Program

The theme of the session was “Healthy Family Relationships” (ആരോഗ്യകരമായ കുടുംബബന്ധങ്ങൾ). The class was led by Smt. Beena George S.G., Director, Life Foundation, Keralapuram. She highlighted the essential aspects of mutual respect, trust, emotional intelligence, and mental health within marital relationships. The interactive session allowed students to ask questions and clarify doubts, creating a meaningful learning atmosphere.

Purpose of the Program

Premarital counseling is a vital initiative aimed at helping individuals build strong, understanding, and respectful relationships before marriage. By addressing emotional maturity, communication skills, financial understanding, and health awareness, the program encourages students to make informed life decisions.

Impact on Students

This session was a valuable opportunity for the teacher trainees of Baselios Marthoma Mathews II Training College. It encouraged open discussions and offered professional guidance, preparing the future generation of educators to approach relationships with clarity and responsibility.

Reflection 

The Premarital Counseling Program was a meaningful and impactful event that blended awareness, learning, and personal growth. Such initiatives play an essential role in strengthening families and, ultimately, society. The college community expressed gratitude to the organizers, guests, and resource persons who contributed to the success of the event.
